Location Main entrance to the airpark is by way of Donald Road 1.5 miles south of Aguila (US Hwy 60) off of Eagle Eye road (paved and County maintained).  Eagle Eye Road has recently been paved and extended southward to Interstate 10. This provided a new and shorter access route to West Phoenix. It's a beautiful drive.

Delicious Drinking Water If you visit Aguila, you should bring along some empty jugs to fill with our water so you can enjoy a delicious drink of coffee or tea at your next breakfast. You'll love it and have a great day.

Scenic Views Looking southwestward you see the rugged Harquahala Mountains rising to 5,681 feet. Undisturbed Indian ruins can still be explored at the upper levels of this mountain range.

Shopping Aguila has a number of businesses that provide the basic necessities. A new grocery store has just been built. Most shopping is done in Wickenburg. U.S. Hwy 60 is non-stop from Aguila to Wickenburg. The newly developed Sun City West is approximately 50 miles from Aguila and has all the major department stores and all other metropolitan shopping. This shopping area is one of, if not, the most extensive shopping mall in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. Post Office in the center of Aguila just two miles from Eagle Roost Airpark & Valley of the Eagle Airpark. UPS delivers twice daily.

Recreation
The Colorado River is 79 miles west of Aguila. This is a No.1 area for water sports. The New Waddell Dam (the finest and largest interior lake in the western states) is only 45 miles east of Aguila. You'll be hearing a great deal about this recreational lake in the near future. Wickenburg, (19 miles to the east) has several  prestigious resorts, dude ranches, several golf courses, a tennis resort, riding
academies and a top notched country club. All around the Airparks for miles and miles the government lands abound with outdoor recreational opportunities. 11,000 ft ski slopes within a two hour drive. There's no better fishing, skiing, hiking, rock hounding and hunting anywhere. The nearby mountains have many gold mines and Indian ruins to explore. There's opportunities for serious gold prospecting within 25 miles of Aguila. Bring your camera!

Clean Air Valley of the Eagle When visiting Aguila and the Airparks please notice the air.

Taxes Ranch and agricultural land is among the lowest tax category in Maricopa County.

Weather Eagle Roost is at 2,200 ft elevation. There is no smog. The air dry and clean. At this elevation Valley of the Eagle is 1,100 feet above Phoenix, so that, on an average Aguila's temperature is 5 to 10 degrees lower than Phoenix. However, this does not mean that it doesn't get hot in the summer, it certainly gets up to 100 or maybe 108. But the payoff is, the air is drier and cleaner than Phoenix. This is due to the fact our area does not have all the sprinkled landscaping, swimming pools, trees, golf courses, paved streets, shopping centers, freeways and automobiles. The nights are always much cooler because the desert rapidly gives up its heat shortly after the sun goes down. A good nights sleep will make any day a great day. Some do not get as much sleep as others because they are out at night reaching up to the stars that are so bright, clear and plentiful. Sunsets and sunrises are spectacular. Rains, yes we have our rains from time to time to enjoy. The rains make a beautiful panoramic change to the desert flora, a real sight to behold. Our rain is uncontaminated. We have no hurricanes, mud slides, cyclones, snowstorms, tidal waves, earth quakes or any of that sort of bad stuff.
